How we handle your personal data, in plain words and in line with the GDPR.

1. Data controller

The controller of the personal data collected through this website is MAECREA. Full identification details of the data controller are available on request by writing tociao@maecrea.it.

2. Data we collect

Through the contact form we collect the data you provide voluntarily: your name, email address and the content of your message. In addition, only if you give your consent via the cookie banner, we collect aggregate browsing statistics through Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (pages visited, referral source, page interactions). The legal basis for this data is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. The site does not use advertising profiling tools.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Your data is processed for the sole purpose of replying to your enquiries or quote requests. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, where applicable, the controller's legitimate interest in managing correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Data retention

Data is kept only for as long as strictly necessary to handle your enquiry and, after that, for any period required by legal obligations or by the relationship established. Once that period ends, the data is deleted.

5. Data sharing

Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. It may be processed by technical providers that supply hosting and email delivery services and, subject to your consent, by the providers of the analytics tools (Google Ireland Ltd. and Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.), appointed as data processors where required. Any transfer of data outside the EU takes place under the safeguards provided for by Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR. For details of the cookies used, see thecookie policy.

6. Your rights

Under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR you have the right to access your data and to request rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
