The Bando Voucher Doppia Transizione Lombardia 2026 is a non-repayable grant designed to help Lombardy's micro, small and medium enterprises invest in the digital and green transitions. If you run a business in Milan or elsewhere in Lombardy and have been putting off that new website, the online shop, or the automation that would save you hours every week, this is a concrete opportunity: the voucher covers half the cost. In this article we look at how it works, who can apply and which digital projects you can fund — in plain language, no bureaucratic jargon.
How much the voucher is worth
According to the official page of the call, the contribution is a non-repayable grant covering 50% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of €10,000. To qualify, your project needs a minimum spend of €4,000: below that threshold the application is not admissible. In practice: if you invest €8,000 in a digitalisation project, the voucher reimburses €4,000; with an investment of €20,000 or more you reach the €10,000 grant ceiling. And "non-repayable" means exactly what it says: it is not a loan, and you pay nothing back.
Who can apply
The call is aimed at MSMEs — micro, small and medium enterprises — based in the provinces of the Lombardy chambers of commerce taking part in the initiative. There is one condition worth knowing straight away: businesses that already received the voucher under the 2025 edition of the call cannot benefit from this edition. If you did not take part last year, or applied without obtaining the grant, you are in the right group. As with any public call, there are also formal requirements to meet: before making any plans, check your situation on the official page, because requirements can change and only the official text of the call is binding.
Which digital expenses you can cover
The "double transition" covers two fronts: digital and green. Here we focus on the first, because that is where we can genuinely help. Among the digitalisation projects an agency like ours delivers every day — and the kind of work the call is designed to support — are:
A new professional website. Fast, well built, designed to bring in customers rather than just exist. If you are wondering what figures to expect, we wrote an honest guide on how much a website costs.
An e-commerce store. Selling your catalogue online, with payments, shipping and order management done properly from day one.
Process automation. Workflows that connect your contact form, email, CRM and spreadsheets, removing the manual steps that currently eat your hours.
Artificial intelligence solutions. For example a chatbot trained on your own content, answering customers even when you cannot.
One necessary caveat: the precise list of eligible expenses, with its rules and limits, is defined by the official text of the call. Before committing any budget, check that your project fits the categories it covers — or get help from someone who does this for a living.
How and when to apply
Applications are submitted online through the ReStart platform, and the submission window opens on 28 July 2026. With first-come, first-served calls, being prepared matters: it pays to have your project, supplier quotes and required documents ready before the window opens, not after. You will find the official text, the forms and all updates on the official Unioncamere Lombardia page: that is the source to keep an eye on, because requirements and conditions may be updated over time.
Does it make sense for your business?
Let us be clear about one thing: a grant is not a good reason to build something you do not need. But if the new website, the online shop or the automation was already in your plans, the voucher changes the maths in a very real way — halving the cost of an investment you would have made anyway is rare, and it is worth moving early.
Want to find out whether your project could fit the call and where to start? Get in touch: we look at your situation together, define a digitalisation project that actually makes sense, and prepare the quotes you need for the application — the first conversation costs nothing. That way, on 28 July you arrive ready.
